Piedmont Newnan Hospital Moves Forward on Piedmont Outpatient Center

State-of-the-Art Services at Summit Healthplex Will Benefit All Cowetans                                                                   

NEWNAN, Ga. (Oct. 22, 2009) – Plans for Piedmont Newnan Hospital’s (PNH) new Piedmont Outpatient Center, located at the Summit Healthplex on Highway 34 East, are moving forward.  Thanks in part to support from the Piedmont Newnan Hospital Auxiliary, the Center, which will upgrade Piedmont Newnan Hospital’s current outpatient radiological services, includes renovation of nearly 10,000 square feet of space in the bottom floor of the Summit Healthplex. 

The Piedmont Newnan Hospital Auxiliary has pledged to raise $150,000 to go towards a Patient Education Suite in the Piedmont Outpatient Center as well as other amenities.  The Patient Education Suite will feature internet access, books, pamphlets, brochures and DVDs.  The Auxiliary will also enlist volunteers to drive golf carts, greet patients, and provide staff support.

The fully-digital center, which is scheduled to open in January 2010, will have on-site radiologists and will provide CT scans, diagnostic X-ray, ultrasound, digital mammography and DEXA scans, as well as stereotactic procedures such as breast biopsies.
